Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will Vers work with my iPhone or iPhone 3G?
A: Yes, all Vers systems will play and charge both the original iPhone and the new 3G iPhone. The new iPhone 3G works without transmitter interference when in 3G network mode, the original iPhone or the iPhone 3G in EDGE network mode require setting the iPhone to Airplane Mode to avoid transmitter interference through the speakers. To learn more about iPhone compatibility, please read Apple's support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1665.

Q: What iPods does Vers work with?
A: Vers will charge and play all docking iPods.

Q: What dock adaptors does Vers come with?
A: The Vers 2X currently comes #3, #5, #7, #8, #10, #11 and a universal stand for all other MP3 players, though the #13 and #14 dock adaptors will be added very soon. The 1.5R currently comes with #9, #10, #13, & #14.

Q: What if the adaptor for my iPod is not on that list?
A: We have included adaptors for the most popular models and will be adding more soon, but in the case of not having one that fits your specific iPod, we suggest that you use the white adaptor that came with it. You may also purchase additional adaptors from our Accessories section.

Q: Does Vers work with other MP3 players?
A: Yes, a universal stand with 3.5 mm audio cable for the headphone jack is available separately in the Accessories secionfor other MP3 players and fits into the universal dock well. When using other MP3 players with any Vers system, only the volume control, mute and power buttons on the remote will function.

Q: Can I hook up my Vers to use as a speaker for my computer?
A: Yes, but please note that plugging in a cable to the audio in jack in the bottom of the Vers 2X temporarily disables the iPod dock to prevent overloading of the amplifier. To play an iPod, you will need to remove the cable from the audio in jack. Vers 1.5R has an 'Aux' mode that allows for switching between your iPod or your computer.

Q: Since Vers is ‘real wood’, do I need to do anything special to take care of it?
A: You need to treat Vers as you would any other piece of fine wood furniture in your home – keep out of direct sunlight, avoid extremely high or extremely low humidity environments, wipe down with a clean cloth as needed.

Q: Oops! I accidentally scratched the wood - what do I do?
A: Most major hardware stores sell crayon-type pencils or wood stain pens for touching up small nicks and scratches - they work great!

Q: Any suggestions on the best way to position my Vers?
A: To get the ideal bass response from the rear ports, place your Vers about a hand-width away from any rear wall. You can also place it diagonally in a corner. Make sure the ports are not blocked by anything.

Q: How do I fine-tune the bass and treble to my liking?
A: All iPods come with a wide range of preset EQ options to choose from in the Settings section of the main menu. Check your iPod manual for details.

Q: I've had my Vers for a while and noticed that the volume occasionally drops - what should I do?
A: Contact us directly at support@versaudio.com.

Q: Why can't I get my iPod to function?
A: You may have a problem with your iPods firmware. To update with the latest version visit www.apple.com/ipod/download. You may also try resetting your iPod by following the procedure in your instruction manual.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: If your Vers system was purchased online through the Vers website, you have 30 days to return it for credit; you will be responsible for all return shipping costs. It is important that contact us first for authorization and instructions at: info@versaudio.com  - we cannot take responsibility for returned units without prior authorization, sorry. The product needs to arrive in 'new' condition with all original accessories and packaging to receive full credit; you may be charged for any missing accessories. Refunds will be mailed to the ‘bill to’ address on the original order unless otherwise specified. If your Vers system was purchased through an outside retailer, you must return your unit to the original place of purchase. Please refer to that retailer’s return policy.

Q: What is your warranty period?
A: All Vers systems carry a one year warranty against defects relating to materials and workmanship. If you have a technical issue, please contact us first for support at: support@versaudio.com.
